Being a recruiter isn’t always a good time. Recruiters have so many responsibilities that it can be difficult for them to find the time to complete everything they need to.

From scheduling to juggling different candidates and working with (sometimes) difficult hiring managers, the life of a recruiter is a hectic one.

Luckily, there are a variety of tools available to automate the most menial tasks. However, for many recruiters that don’t have a robust recruiting tech stack, they’re stuck trying to find time that isn’t there.

In a perfect world, a recruiter wouldn’t only be able to automate repetitive tasks, they’d also have enough time to focus on these four things:

1) Spending quality time with candidates

It’s no secret: the candidate experience is one of the key differentiators of the interview process. However, most recruiters don’t have the time they need in order to cultivate this experience.

3) Creating a better social media presence

You need to be where your candidates are, and this includes social media. As a recruiter, this means sharing pictures about your company culture on Instagram, sending Tweets, posting on Facebook, and more.

This also means collaborating with your marketing team to ensure that the message you’re creating aligns. Remember– your candidates are more than likely interacting with your company on a variety of different platforms. Make sure that your company voice is the same!

4) Contributing to org growth

As a recruiter, you’re directly responsible for the growth of your organization. No pressure!

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to hit ambitious hiring goals if you don’t have the time you need to source top candidates.


Recruiters are the backbone of the company, but they don’t often have the tools they need in order to succeed and focus on the above high-impact tasks. That’s why what’s in your recruiting tech stack is so important!
